Arches and Great Sand Dunes
We had the pleasure of visiting Arches and Great Sand Dunes National Parks on our way to Colorado for Thanksgiving this year. It turns out November is an excellent time to visit them because the weather is still rather mild and there aren’t many tourists at that time of year.
Remembering Cades Cove
I’ve been remembering last year around this time when we drove through Cades Cove in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We’d intended to stay in Gatlinburg for a week so I could do research for my second book, Dangerous Ground, but the terrible wildfires destroyed the place we had planned to stay. Anyway, I did get this picture of the sign into Cades Cove as a momento 🙂
